Diamond Minors meet the players

Diamond Minors members were treated to an exclusive Meet the Players event on Thursday February 16th.

Barry, Geoff, Woody and many of the first team squad gave up their free time to spend the afternoon meeting the youngsters.
The first part of the afternoon allowed the youngsters to get autographs and take photographs as well as chat with the players. They were then split into 7 teams to complete a quiz which tested their (and the players!) knowledge on all things Rushden and Diamonds.

Trinidad and Tobago, helped by Tony Stokes, Wayne Hatswell and Greg Pearson, won the quiz and the team members will now form a Guard of Honour as the players run out onto the pitch at the next home game against Macclesfield Town. The second placed team, Portugal, helped by Phil Gulliver, Graham Allen and Ashley Nicholls won vouchers for McDonalds.

The Diamond Minors committee are very grateful to Barry and all the staff for their support of this event in what is a very busy week for the team.

The Diamond Minors wish them lots of luck for the game at Carlisle on Saturday.
