The Trust will be entering a float into this years Wellingborough Carnival on the 5th July. The Carnival forms at Broad Green Wellingborough from 11.30 am.

We will be meeting at AJ Sectional Buildings factory at Denington Road on Friday 25th June 7.00pm onwards, in order to start preparations any help would be greatly appreciated. We will also be meeting at AJ Sectional Buildings factory at 7.00pm on Friday 4th July to build the float.

The float this year is divided into 3 sections:
- 1897 Rushden Town FC,
- 1964 Irthlingborough Diamonds FC
- 1992 Rushden & Diamonds FC.

We aim to have a football pitch layout on the back of the lorry with as many people as possible on the float dressed in period clothes or football kit of the three eras. It is hoped the Diamond Minors will join in with a mini match on the float and that Radio Diamonds will join us to play music and commentate on the games from the dugout.

Numbers on the float will be limited for Health & Safety reasons so those wishing to take part will need to contact me in advance for full details.

On Saturday 12th July the Trust will have a stall at Rushden's Party in the Park.

We will be promoting the pre-season friendlies, Sports & Exhibition Summer Holiday events, and to sell trust & club merchandise.

The Diamond Minors will also be doing face painting & a tombola. We also aim to have a prize penalty shoot-out competition running to raise funds for our youth teams. Anyone who fancies being one of the goalkeepers please get in touch.
