pride to the people of Irthlingborough. Now in
difficult times I am extremely grateful to the
present Club's Directors and 300 fans for their
courage and valiant efforts in forming the Trust.
Irthlingborough has a great history of uniting
ans supporting many various appeals and now, by
offers of practical skills and financial help,
there is a golden opportunity to retain and
treasure what has been a wonderful and unique
gift to the town. I appeal to everyone to give
whatever support they can"

"I do believe that it is imperative all
efforts are maintained to ensure continuation of
football at Nene Park. Rushden as a town is known
countrywide, due to the efforts of the football
club and its previous Chairman, Max Griggs. As
the current Mayor of Rushden and a supporter of
community spirit I will provide as much support
as I possibly can whilst holding my Chain of
Office and thereafter as both a Rushden Town and
District Councillor. I would be happy to lend my
support whereever it is needed to ensure Rushden
and Diamonds retains its identity and existence
and support the new Trust in all its work".
